Looking up

The balloon is working. Her oxygen needs went as low as 27% yesterday! We haven't seen numbers like that in well over a month. She is almost completely off the Nitric and they are weaning her off the Ventilator. The cardiologists are hoping this will do the trick and buy her enough time to get to the size she needs to be to get the full repair on her heart. Thanks for all your prayers, once again they worked :)

In the darkest moments of our lives, it can be almost impossible to see the light. Just believe it's there, and in time it will illuminate your whole soul. - Jeana

Oh yea...Wayne totally designed/created the background on Kaelyn's blog. He's pretty amazing, all the way around.

Nice work Wayne. You two are some crafty characters between designing blogs, and making your own crib set. Kaelyn is so darn cute! I'll keep the prayers coming.

GREAT news & cool background. I have a couple of bows ready for Kaelyn :) Maybe we'll see ya tomorrow. Today was kind of crazy - big sister Piper was up a couple of times being noisy and crazy.

Howdy,

We just found out about Kaelyn's birth today. So even though are prayers are starting late we hope that they help with whatever lies ahead for your little
sweetie and you guys. We are totally aware of the stress and heartache that goes along with loving Kaelyn so much and having to watch her go through her struggles. It has been 22 years since our son Preston was born with OI. We truly loved him sooo much and grew spiritually from the experience. It brought home the meaning of the scripture that talks about how exquisite the Lords pain was while suffering through the atonement. We have never since experienced such deep emotions as were brought about by our trial. Anywho,,, we want you to know that we are thinking and praying for you. The Lord gave us strenth to make it through our ordeal.

Much love,

LeAnne and Kevin Hicken

(Paul's cousin)

Oh I am so glad that she is doing better with her oxygen needs. She needs to go home and experience family life before a major surgery. We will keep praying.
Love the new background - you are both amazing!
Carter is having surgery Friday so we should come and find you while we are up there. He will be in PICU overnight and then hopefully home Saturday - but you never know. Are you still at Primary's? If you want to email me and let me know - we would love to meet your feisty Kaelyn - kristi6175@yahoo.com

Hi Guys,
Grandma Ruth spent two hours with Kaelyn. We went out to SLC to Sam's Club and she said she would sure like to go spend some time with her. She said it was so good to see her. She has grown so much and looks prettier than even her pictures show. She said it was hard to just be able to tough her little leg or her tummy but it was so good to just sit there and watch her. I forgot to take your phone number to call and tell you she would be there. Maybe Kaelyn and Grandma Ruth just needed that bonding time.
You are always in our prayers,
Love Aunt Shauna and of course Grandma Ruth
