February 17 - Happy Heart Day

Yesterday we celebrated Heart Day here in the Bonner house. We started the day by singing happy heart day songs and danced around the house in happy heart day pj's. (We just got lucky with that one and happened to dress Kaelyn and Bryn in pajamas with hearts on them the night before.

In the afternoon we took Kaelyn to do one of her favorite summer time activities, swimming. Being winter and all we hit up the indoor pool at the local rec center. Sadly she had more fun sitting out of the pool than in it. She is like her mom in that she is a fair weather swimmer. If the sun is beating down on us, then the pool is all fun and games, but if its a little bit chilly, no thanks. It was still a fun time though.

"This is more like it"

We rushed home, got showered up and went out to dinner. Kaelyn loves to go to restaurants, sit in the high chair and just watch all the excitement. Luckily we got out early enough that we just missed the rush.

We had a fun time celebrating the day that Kaelyn's broken heart was fixed 2 years ago. Its a very important day in our family. At her cardiology appointment last week everything looked good and we don't have to go back for ONE WHOLE YEAR!

We have also had lots of fun trying out some new hair styles this week.

"Hey mom look, that little girl has the same pigtails and me!"

Bryn is getting really active and loves playing with toys, watching her big sisters every move and jumping in the jumper. She is such a happy little munchkin and we love it!

Beautiful Baby Contest

I entered both the girls into a Beautiful Baby Contest to help a couple families raise money for their Reece's Rainbow adoptions. Go here to vote for them. http://www.facebook.com/questions/235687086515807/

**Be sure to pick Kaelyn with "Y" or Bonner for Bryn. The winner gets a Target gift card. We could use it to buy some matching clothes for the girls and Victoria :)

A Family of Four

We finally got around to getting a family picture with all four of us. My friend Chelsea brought her camera and shot about 100 pictures in 5 minutes. Needless to say it was not an easy task. Here is the best we could come up with, Kaelyn was not in the mood for a family picture. She had some serious playing to do and we were just holding her back ;) Bryn however was pretty cooperative.

Here is just a glimpse at some of the outtakes...there were many more.

Kaelyn's face in these next few crack us up. We call it the "California Rasin" face.

Of course the girls look great in this one, Mom and Dad...not so much

Well at least we ended up with one good one...sorta :)
