Bryn is TWO!

On September 23, Bryn turned two.  I honestly don't know where the time has gone.  It seems like just a few months ago we brought tiny little Bryn home from the hospital.  She has grown and changed so much in the last year.  She is a funny little girl.  She is very independent, but very much a mommy's girl.  She loves and needs attention and if she gets plenty of that, she is happy.  If not, watch out!! :)  She can be as stubborn as an ox, who need so much will and determination could come from such a tiny little girl.  It will be fun to see her use those attributes to compete in sports or something someday.

Some of her favorite things these days are going bye bye, playing with her sisters, teasing her sisters, saying NO, going to the park, "holding mommy" and going to "school" (The gym daycare while mom works out).  She has quite the sweet tooth, if only she would eat all her food as well as she eats ice cream and candy.  She has forced me to get tricky with sneaking veggies into things and even calling green beans, green french fries ;)  She is becoming quite the little talker and as her speech develops more and more, so does her big sister Jaymi's.  She was just the push Kaelyn needed to amp up her gross motor skills and will be the same kind of motivation for her sister Jaymi when it comes to speech.

We had a fun little party for her on her birthday.  While her sisters were at school she and I ran to the store to get some things for the festivities.  She loved picking out and eating her birthday donut while we shopped.  Now that she is so big, we put her in a full set of piggy tails.

Grandma LaJean and Aunt Joyce took me and the girls to the mall for lunch and a carousel ride.

While the girls napped I made the monkey cupcakes I saw on Pinterest awhile ago.  Bryn is our little monkey, she has always had a thing for them and gets so excited about everything monkey's.

She was excited about opening her presents but wasn't quite sure how it was done.  We thought we would be there all night as she ripped tiny little pieces at a time, but luckily her sister and cousins helped speed things up.

We gave her a little computer like Jaymi's because they always fight over it, so that way they can actually play with them now.
A little fish bowl to help her and her sisters learn their colors.

She has grown out of all her pants this summer so she passed them down to her older sister.  Kaelyn's finally getting Bryn's hand me down's now, I wondered how long it would take Bryn to outgrown her.
Oh man, looks like now we need to get Kaelyn one too!
This little car was the grand finale.  Bryn loves anything like this and I've wanted to get one for her for a while.  A few weeks before her birthday I finally got around to see if there were any on KSL and someone had just added this a few hours before.  It is in perfect condition and cost us half of what they cost new.  She was so excited when she saw it!
Cousin Carson even took if for a spin.
She was a little shy why we sang to her.  Check out the cute high heels Grandma Bonner gave her.  She loves anything girly and these get worn lots.  Grandma was smart and gave her two sets so her sister and her could wear them together.
Kaelyn wanted in on the candle action.
We are so glad Bryn is a part of our family.  She is a good sister and daughter and even though she has her moments where she likes to tease us all, she has a little heart of gold.  We believe she brought a message from Heaven two years ago that she had another big sister that we needed to bring home from Russia.  They are best friends and I can't wait to see their relationship continue to blossom as they get older.  This fall Kaelyn and Jaymi are participating in a special needs sport program up at the University and so Bryn gets mom and dad all to herself every Friday night.  Next year she will be old enough to do it too, but for now she is stuck with us.  Here are a few things we have done while her sisters play.

Shopping at the bookstore
Face painting.  She loved showing everyone her pretty butterfly
Puddle jumping and walking around campus
Pushing the mini shopping cart around Trader Joe's.  She thought that was pretty dang cool and luckily didn't run into too many people.  ha ha
