Most of the country celebrates Valentines “Heart” day on February 14, but here in our house Heart Day is February 17th. One year ago today we took our little girl in to have open-heart surgery. How amazing it is to look back and see how far she has come. That little heart of hers worked so hard to sustain her before her surgery, and so far it continues to thrive. We are so grateful for the amazing doctors and surgeons that did their part in keeping our little miracle here with us. So today we celebrated her "Heart-iversery" by wearing red and playing with some of her buddies.

Wow just look how she's grown, I remember how tiny she was in the hospital and we were all waiting for the day when she'd be home! She has thrived so well and she is looking absolutely gorgeous!
And look at all that cutness all in one room, my God that is not fair I wish I was there. I recognise quite a few of them, didn't realised you guys lived close. Thats so great!
Cannot believe that was a year ago! Miss K is gorgeous and growing so fast. still amazes me every time I see her. Always remember the pic next to the spoon, hard to believe it's the same baby(little girl).

Awesomeness!!!! I have a friend on the East Coast that has Feb 12th as their Heart Day!! (Little Fiona has DS and had her heart surgery at 5 months old and is doing great ...she is now 17 months!!)

Yay Kaelyn! What a beautiful girl! It's so awesome to see how well she's doing and to see other familiar faces in your group from blogs! You're so lucky to be able to hang out with them! I got your note about Utah...we actually never made it out...lame, I know! Things kept coming up and we couldn't fit it in. I will DEFINITELY call if I'm ever out there. Hopefully soon!!! Miss you!
