January 2022

January 2022 is one that will go down in the books as one of the busiest travel months for our family. It was a lot of fun but also quite exhausting.  Jaymi got to perform with the Band of America at Disneyland and then in the Rose Parade on New Years Eve.

The day of the parade our wake up call was 2:30 am. I set some extra alarms just to make sure we didn't sleep through them.

In the evening they had a banquet to honor all the members of the band.

Jaymi and I got to spend a day at Disneyland with her buddies from the band and their moms. It was a great day and we were able to hit all our favorite rides.

I was home for a couple days and then headed back to California with Bryn for her season opening meet. We stayed at a fun resort in Newport with some friends and had the best trip!

After Bryn's meet she and I went to Downtown Disney for some dinner and shopping.

We were home for a couple days and then we packed up the whole family to head to Las Vegas for Bryn's next meet. We stayed at the Tahiti Village and soaked up some sunshine when we could.

While we were driving to Vegas we got notice that due to high Covid numbers our schools were going to be closed the following week. So I got adventurous and decided to take the kids to Disneyland since we were only four hours away. So I called up Kathryn O and talked her into meeting us in California, Wayne rented a car for him and Kaelyn to drive home since neither are Disneyland fans and we were off! Kat even came with a suitcase full of Disney apparel for us all to wear.

We were home for a week and then Bryn and I were back on a flight headed to Seattle for another meet.

While we were in Washington Jaymi had a cheer competition at home.

Even with all the crazy traveling around this month we still managed to do a few things at home.
