March 2016

March is an exciting month since Jaymi's birthday is on the first.  For her birthday we went out to dinner as a family so she could enjoy her favorite meal of Mac & Cheese.  She was so excited to tell the waiter that it was her birthday.  It's crazy to think that it is her fourth birthday she has celebrated in our family.

Then we celebrated with Minnie Mouse cupcakes at home.

I was able to getaway for a couple nights with some of my Down syndrome Mom's group.  It was fun being about to relax and enjoy each other's company and celebrate our friend Amy's birthday.

Bryn and I had dentist appointments and she finished before me.  She came over and took a nap on my lap.  The dentist thought it was so cute he took a picture for us.

One night I was working in my room and Bryn came in to ask if she could borrow my volleyball.  When I came out I saw these two cuties playing "volleyball player" dress up.

Love the headbands!  One of the most important parts for my volleyball ensemble.

Bryn and I spent an afternoon with our friends Jamie and Avery.  I love that our girls are such good little buddies.

For Jaymi's party this year we held a benefit carnival for our little friend baby Noah.  Our friends the Cox family were in the process of adopting him from the Ukraine, so instead of gifts we asked for a small donation to help his family with expenses.  We had such a great turn out of family, neighbors and friends.  It was a blast!

We were so lucky to babysit little Wells for a bit.  He was in heaven in the trampoline throwing balls around.  I even forgot he was here a couple times because he was so chill and content in there.

Bryn's preschool class got to go on a field trip to a dentist office.  This is them teaching about flossing and brushing.

Jaymi and I got to head back to California for the second year in a row with her cheer squad for Nationals.  It was a pretty quick trip but we were able to do a day at Disneyland, the beach and swim at the house we rented with a group of other friends.

The girls did great at their cheer competition.  We had lots of time to kill while we waited so they slid down this slope by the stairs for over an hour, until security came and kicked us off.

Jaymi loves that she gets to be on the top!  She is such a brave little girl.

You know you did well when you win a trophy bigger than you.

It was so fun staying is a house with all our buddies.

We finished off the trip with a trick show, I think Jaxon and Jaymi won!

While we were gone Wayne sent me this cute picture of Bryn and Kaelyn doing gymnastics together.  They have the cutest little friendship that makes my heart swell with joy.  Kaelyn is pretty particular about who she lets into her "inner" circle and Bryn is making her way up to #1.  Watch out grandma Amy :)

A group of friends from the neighborhood got together to celebrate our friend's birthday.  I love this group of ladies, they always make me laugh and smile until my face hurts.

I took the girls to watch the Herriman High Drill team performance and watch our friend Haidyn.  The girls loved doing tricks and dancing with her cute little sister Hadlee during the breaks.

St. Patricks day snuck up on the leprechauns this year so they weren't able to find any Lucky Charms at 10 pm the night before, luckily the girls didn't mind one bit!

March is full of cheer competitions, this is one here in Utah.

While Jaymi was cheering away I was in Vernal with my volleyball team playing in a tournament. We had a great time and ended up taking third.  One day we are going to win that tournament!

For the Provo City Center Temple dedication we went to grandma and grandpa Bonner's so the parents could switch off and go to different sessions.  The girls loved spending the day with their cousins.

Jaymi was a pro at flying this kite.

The girls gave grandpa a good workout pushing them on the zipline all afternoon.

3/21 is World Down Syndrome Day so the girls and I went and got Ice Cream with friends to celebrate.

Ice cream is this girls favorite treat!

Then later that night we met up with some other buddies for bowling and celebrating our littles with an extra chromosome.

I had a little too much fun at Target the other night planning our outfits for our next family pictures.

We are finally getting some sunshine so even though it was a little chilly outside we had to hit up one of our favorite parks.

The girls have been doing chores to earn a family trip to the trampoline park. We had such a blast!

Bryn learned how to do her first back flip.  She is fearless!

Bryn teaching Kaelyn all about painting master pieces.

Easter egg hunting with the girls.

Kaelyn checking out how to color eggs.

Selfies in our matching cheer shirts.

Easter at Grandma Amy's.

Easter Sunday pictures.

Kaelyn hanging out with the police dog at school.

Jaymi and her buddy Baby Ryan.

Kaelyn and her buddy Blake.

Kaelyn and her favorite outside activity.

The annual Bonner Family ski day.

While Jaymi and I were in Cali Bryn got to go to the Museum of Natural History with Daddy for a work get together. Of course they sent me these pictures by this creepy picture of a pigeon.

Kaelyn is trying all sorts of big girl things these days.  Flip flops and soccer cleats.
