Of course December is full of all sorts of fun for our family. We started it off with an amazing Ward Christmas Party. The theme was the Polar Express, it was a pajama party where we ate breakfast for dinner. Good times.
Jaymi and I were invited to be surprise guest speakers at an amazing Christmas Benefit concert for a beautiful orphan, Ellen, with Down syndrome. The event is called Starry Night and included an array of Christmas Music played by amazing musicians from Utah State. RODS Racing asked us to come and share our adoption story and show how a child's life can be so much better by given the chance at a family. They were able to raise $15,000 to go towards Ellen's adoption. Now all she needs is a family and what a blessing it will be to have that money to help pay for her adoption expenses. Brady Murray helped us so much financially during our adoption and we were honored to be a part of this beautiful event.
Beautiful little Ellen.
While we were in Logan for Starry Night we were able to stay in a fun hotel and get our swim on. The girls love their swim cheer stunts with Daddy. Kaelyn and I enjoyed dipping our toes in the hot tub. We are fair water swimmers. We also had time to kill on Saturday so we took the girls to Walmart and let them pick out Christmas gifts for each other and the cousins they drew out this year.
Kaelyn paining in Nursery, I love that she is interested in doing what the other kids are doing.
Bryn paints up quite the masterpieces as you can see.
Jaymi got to attend the United Angels Foundation Christmas Party with her bestie Mia and her family since we couldn't go. These two are the cutest little friends, they get along so well and love being together. Mia is the first thing Jaymi asks about when she wakes up and the last thing she talks about before she goes to bed, and that is not an exaggeration.
Kaelyn is an easy one to shop for. These batteries will probably last about 2-3 months. Hopefully they last until her birthday in June though.
Kaelyn playing with our buddy Baby Blake. They fought over her piano last time so I was sure to bring a couple this day and they got along great.
Kaelyn and daddy got their shot at the sleep lab too. Things are a little better for her than they were a couple years ago, but she still has obstructive sleep apnea and requires oxygen at night.
Bryn doing an art project while I work. I'm so thankful my kids are at an age it makes it easier to work from home.
The BIG DAY, Jaymi and Bryn's first Ballet Performance together. Love these little ballerinas of mine and I love that they can be in the same class.
I love the little glitter frames I found to put with everyone's Christmas stocking.
Its UTAH Gymnastics season. Our family Christmas gift this year is Season tickets their meets. I wanted something that we could enjoy together as a family.
We got to enjoy or neighborhood friends dance in the Wizard of Oz ballet. We love these beautiful girls, they are all so sweet with my girls.
We got the treat of having Bree come hangout before cheer. Her and Jaymi could be twins!
Cheer squad Christmas Partay!
Jaymi's class Christmas Party
Jaymi and her teacher Miss Ashley
Playdate with our friends.
Bryn is the dress-up queen these days. I love watching her imagination grow.
Elite Angels Cheer Parent Show.
Mia came over to play after school one day and boy were these girls excited that they both wore Minnie Mouse jammies to school for their pajama day.
Proud little sista
Our traditional Christmas eve "Dunch" (between dinner and lunch) at Texas Roadhouse. We started this tradition three years ago and love it!
After our dinner we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Bonners for the traditional Christmas Eve party. One of our favorite parts is the Nativity Scene provided by the grandkids.
The girls performed their ballet dance for the talent show.
The kids love when the Elves bring them gifts to Grandma's door.
When we got home the girls got to open one of their gifts from Grandma LaJean and Papa Paul. Silly jammies she picked up at the National Rodeo Finals this year. Kaelyn's say "Pasture Bed Time" and as you can tell by the look on her face, they were right on.
Jaymi and Bryn's say "Tail End" and they are the silly button up bottoms. We all got a good laugh out of them.
This girl seriously should be a model, where do we sign her up?
The girls were so excited Christmas morning and Wayne and I were so excited because they slept in until 9:00! Best Christmas present ever.
The highlight for them were these new dresses. They are the cutest little team when they play Frozen together.
Remember the batteries I told you about earlier...Most of her music toys have been out of commission for a while now so she was pumped to see her old friends back in business.
The girls loved their new art supplies and table.
Another great Christmas gift was the snow storm Christmas Eve. They were so excited to finally have snow to play in with Daddy.
Sadly Jaymi had to get her tonsils out the day after Christmas. She was just a brave little girl and has had an amazing recovery. She was a little sad in the mornings and after naps but after her medicine kicked in she didn't skip a beat. She is a tough little girl.
New years eve we had a pizza party with the Jackmans and enjoys a concert by the kids. Can't wait to see what adventures are in store for us in 2015!!
So long 2014, you were good to us!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
