We had an exciting event the very first of the month, my younger brother Ryan got married to his beautiful bride Amanda. Ryan has lived with us off and on for the past 4 years and has a special place in the lives of our girls. They love him and we will all miss him as he moves away and we don't get to see him every morning when he leaves for work. He also helped watch the girls and we will miss his help but are so excited for this next chapter of his life.
Amanda's parents live in our neighborhood and ward and remember the first time I met her and learned that she was going to college to be a special educator. That touched me as a new mother to a child with special needs. I am so impressed by those who dedicate their lives to teach and care for children and adults with special needs. We are so lucky to have her in our family.
We love our Grandma Ruth, she is one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out.
We all had such a good time spending the day with family and friends.
Daddy and his girls.
While I was away at a mom's weekend Wayne was super dad and took the girls to Special Needs night at the Aquarium.
This year's Hutcheon reunion was at Uinta Canyon by Grandma and Grandpa's house. Bryn takes lots of pictures in the car these days to document all our road trips.
Rather than camping up the canyon we stayed at my mom's house and drove up each morning. This was the way to do it, we got showers and I got to go for a run each morning and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
We had so much fun at the reunion playing with cousins, building forts, hiking, riding bikes, eating and even watching movies at dusk. It was so much fun enjoying the beautiful mountains I grew up spending time in with my little family.
We spent a day at the local children's hospital and the girls love all the toys, books and activities there are for them to do while we wait.
We finally used our pass of all passes for a day at Seven Peaks waterpark with our friends.
We were able to head up to our favorite hike to Donut Falls on a Saturday afternoon. The girls love being out doors and hiking in the mountains. Its so fun to have this time together as a family. Last time we did this hike I was pregnant with Bryn, so things in our family have changed quite a bit since then.
The hike up to look into the falls is pretty steep and rocky so dad did that one by himself while the girls and I took a water break and played in the water.
Jaymi's flexibility comes in handy for climbing, she is a natural. Kaelyn enjoying the view on daddy's back.
I was happy to find Bryn and Jaymi playing some hoops together when I picked them up from the gym day care.
We got to attend a Hope Kids event at Cowabunga Bay and they ended it with a pool dance party that you better believe Jaymi loved! Two of her favorite things! She is in the middle in her purple ballet swimsuit.
Meeting Jaymi's new teachers on the day before school started.
Jaymi's first day of FIRST GRADE. She was so excited to get back to school and spend every day with her friends, especially her bestie Mia.
Bryn loves to take selfies these days. Oh dear, my little mini-teenager
Bryn's first haircut, it took her almost three years to grow this much hair.
Bryn, Jaymi and I did the color run this year. The girls had so much fun, Jaymi ran/walked the whole race and Bryn took advantage of the stroller. I told her if she wants to do it next year she has to run like me and Jaymi.
Bryn running her 20 feet of the race
Bryn pulling Kaelyn alond on her bike.
Bryn's first day of preschool. She loves it so much. She goes to the developmental preschool Kaelyn went to. They have both typically developing children and children with different special needs. I love that Bryn's world is full of people with special needs and at this point she doesn't even realize it. She just thinks they are like everyone else, if only we could all see the world through her eyes of love and acceptance. What a blessing her sisters are to her.
Jaymi has been loving soccer this fall, she has gotten so much better at kicking the ball into the net.
Bryn loves going to watch soccer and play at the park afterwards.
Our annual trip to our friends the Anderson's cabin and ginormous swing.
Day before school pedicures. I went in my room to get nail polish and came out to find this. Silly little girls.
